Not sure what to say?

Phil,
You kept me flying during combat, flew with me in combat and stayed by my side for much of my career, keeping my rudder centered when I drifted off course. I'll miss your wise counsel and quite work - but feel blessed to have you near me through it all. Rich Jaeger

Phil, You always managed to brighten our lives whether ashore or deployed. Your cheerful smile, infectious inspiration and professionalism at every level will never be forgotten. Serena, May God's grace surround you and keep you through these difficult times. Harry and Judy Zinser

Phil was a dedicated and energetic promoter of our brotherhood (some cases with our sisters too) of those of us who went to war together, His positive outlook and encouraging words were an inspiration. Phil will be remembered by us, his shipmates, as long as we gather to celebrate our common ties in this world.

Phil, So many years, so many miles... even tho I didn't see you and Serena we talked and wrote and knew we were loved so very much. We love you too. You will still be doing important work there, but we will miss you so bad. My boys talk about you ALL the time. "My Uncle Phil..." rest well, with peace, I have to go tell Robbie and my Phil. Love you and Serena too. Penny

Uncle Phil has been an intricate part of our lives and where we are today. We are honored to have had him grace our presence for as long as he did. Maria and Lynda Yraceburu (NM)

My heart goes out to the Poisson family. I was devastated when I received the news of his death. Phil was one of those people that you smiled about every time you heard his name, because he was always smiling. It was just not enough that Phil liked you; you needed to know that he respected you as well. If he was your friend, he was your friend forever. I was lucky enough to get on Phil's check crew on the last HH-2C at IB. When the H2s were sent to HSL-31, he saw to it that I was...

My deepest sympathy to the Poisson Family. Mr. Poisson was truly a wonderful man who touched so many lives
God Saw You Getting Tired

God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you
and whispered,
"Come to Me"

With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.

A Golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.

I first met Phil in Lakehurst, NJ. in 1962 at HU-4 I was there till 1964.I lost contact till about a year ago when I found him in San Diego. We will all miss a great man. Robert Elliott Greensboro, NC.

Serena,
There are never words that can comfort, only time. You have our deepest sympathy. We feel privileged to be able to call you and Phil our friends, even though we only seen each other every other year! Phil will be missed very much by his HC-7 buddies. He will always be in our hearts. He is now at peace watching over us and waiting! Thanks Phil....we will miss you!
