Not sure what to say?

To a really special person who was always smiling got to know him and his family at Deer Run back in the 80's. Now he's smiling down on all of us.

Phillip was my student many years ago at Adams School. I was very saddened to learn of his death. He was a gentle soul, always had a smile for everyone and he had such a kind heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. He will be greatly missed.

Thoughts and prayers Are with all. Phil was such a friendly guy and his smile will be greatly missed. When I read the article I was sad to learn of his condition. He will make the heavens and brighter place and will always send sunshine to all of you.

Cliff, Mary Ann, Paul, Pam and Perry,

Words cannot express the sadness that those who knew Phil are experiencing at this time. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies and may you be comforted by the outpouring of love and support surrounding you. Memories of Phil at Camp Gard and the many years following will always be a special treasure to me. A gentle, kind soul along with his great smile, Phil was a shining example of what true friendship is all about. The world could use more people...

Those who knew Phil know what a great guy he was. All who knew him had a friend for life. He communicated in his own special way his joy, his heart, his life. He will be missed, but, he will be remembered by so many whom he has touched.

My brother, Randy and my cousin, Doug and I enjoyed our association with Phil through Camp Campbell Gard along with that of Phil's family.

One never knows when one is making a memory. Phil did that everyday.

My sympathies to the Poppel...

Dear Cliff and Poppel Family Members,

My wife and I do quite a bit of walking in Hamilton, and each time we met Phillip on the sidewalk he greeted us with an especially friendly smile and hello. We will miss his ever cheerful presence in our community and extend our sincerest condolences to you and your family on his passing.

Sincerely,

Mark Brandenburger

Pam, Perry, Cliff, Mary Ann and Paul,
I am so sad and heartbroken at the passing of Phil. My family and I were able to spend some time with him a few weeks ago and it was great to see him and to let him know how much we loved him. He had the ability to make everyone around him happy. I have great memories of our time at Camp Gard and seeing Phil everyday with that smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. God finally has the perfect angel.
