Not sure what to say?

Phil was my boss (hired me at the S-T in '68 when he was City Editor of the Evening paper), my friend and my mentor/hero. Texas has lost one of the journalism greats. Phil, friend and TCU colleague. kept a gentle wit and a sharp mind. He will be remembered with affection and gratitude.

We will both miss Phil, he was a wonderful man of faith.
