Not sure what to say?

He was more than my dr., he was my friend. I would call him and he always took my calls. He will truly be missed. Light & Love

Just reading that Dr. Rye has passed. When he first started his own practice, I sent him a plant for his new office with a note" to the doctor that proves Marcus Wellby´s do really exist!" Dr. Rye was one of a kind! Delivered both my boys, 1971 & `78. After I moved from NOLA, I called many years later, his nurse would say he´s really busy right now, can I take a message, I would say tell him I need to speak to Dr. Wellby! A few minutes later he would be on the phone. I am so sorry to hear...

When my doctor of thirty-five years decided to practice in Baton Rouge only I asked who else in the office could I see. Julie recommended Dr. Rye. I wound up seeing him for five years until he retired. He was so full of wit and gave great advice. I loved his sense of humor - never met anyone like him, and so knowledgeable. I remember he use to tell me I needed to lose weight, so as I was leaving his office one time he said, "next year come back less of ya." I have never heard that one...

Even though I only knew Dr. Rye a short time, he became a great friend! Loved all his stories, recipes, nutrition and worldly advice. He was such a generous and caring man! He will be missed by all! So very sorry for your loss!

Single Memorial Tree

Subsequently his nurse, Julie, suggested to him that I should try going to LSU Medical School to see a doctor who was doing autoimmune therapy with women with these sorts of problems. I still don't know for sure which treatment worked, but I became pregnant soon afterward and carried the baby full term. Dr. Rye also introduced me to...

Dr. Rye was wonderful to work with and loved to teach. He always had a joke to tell or a recipe to share. He will be missed by many. Condolences to his family and friends.
