A good friend and a great human being. I will miss him. The world is a sadder place without him. Great times with Phil. Always a smile and an infectious laugh EH? I was always impressed that he hiked Mt. Kilamanjaro. I once ran over Mt Soledad with Phil probably 15 miles and he was ready to do it a 2nd time. A hui hou my friend. Does anyone know if there has already been a memorial service???

Uncle Phil was a free spirit. He lived his life just the way he wanted it. Lots of wonderful memories at grandma & grandpa's house for the holidays. Hold tight to the memories.

Phil and his older brother Harry and I were good friends in the 5th and 6th grades at Florence Elementary School. I managed Harry's winning campaign for Florence student-body president. Their mother was a very nice person—a single mother head of household, a working mom who supported her boys. They lived with her in a house right next to Florence School on First Avenue.
