Phillip H. Stoermer

Though it has been many years, I think about Phil and Daphne often. I´ve not known better people. Phil was a remarkable lawyer, an even better person. And what a great sense of humor. He once recommended me as local counsel to one of his many clients and when I asked why, hoping he would say because I was such a talented lawyer, he said it was because "you´re a big guy and I like big guys." I am so very sad to learn of Phil's passing, and I extend my love and support to Daphne and the family. Phil was a wonderful mentor and friend to me, and I will always remember our long talks and the great dinner we had at the Monterey Jazz Festival. He had a very big heart, and was a generous, warm, and very talented individual. I will miss him very much.

Phil's passing marks the loss of an articulate and principled friend whose past advice I appreciated on many topics. My condolences to Daphne and the family, expressed in more depth in a previous personal card.
