Not sure what to say?

Grace, I saw your email just as I was going out of town. I am so sorry to hear this. I know you had your share of fears in the past and then for this to happen unexpectedly...I know your pain is deep. I wish the best to you and all of your family during this period of grieving and remembering.

I often stopped by Rod's on my way home from work and Phil always had a smile on his face and some kind words for me. He will surely be missed by everyone!

Grace, I'm so sorry about your Dad. I really, really, liked him. His easy going nature and great sense of humor were always great to be around.

Our condolences for the unexpected loss of your loved one. We just wanted to share our memories about him. Phil always smiled whenever we crossed pass, and he was really a person who cares about others.
We remembered a lot of times when we were gone out of town, and forgot to call the OC Register, he would put all the newspapers in front of our front door. He stopped by at our store to see if I was all right when he passed by our store because the sign says "CLOSED", but the front door was...

I remember the Christmas', the Thanksgivings, the get togethers we used to have. (with a smile on my face) I remember the birthday partys for our three men. Especially the one at aunties by the pool. I miss those days so much. You will be in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers uncle Phil. I am sure your sitting there playing cribbage right now with my dad, Paul. Wonder whos winning. Uncle Phil this was not expected, and you will be truly missed, but you have your angel wings now, please...

Good Ole Phil! One of a kind. His gruff manner disappeared whenever he spoke of his family. His eyes twinkled and he almost became shy.
A terrific gentleman and I will miss him terribly. -A Customer and Fan - Jeanie Adams

To Phil - A dear sweet giant of a man with a voice I'll always hold dear - to his "girls", Gail, and the daughters he so lovingly spoke of, and to his grandchildren - My, how he was blessed!

I was honored to be able to call him at first a customer, and then a friend - One I'll never forget.

I was shocked, and hurt by his sudden passing, because only a few days earlier we spoke and he told me he would see me in a couple of weeks. My how each day is a precious gift.

Please...

Phil, you and I have been down many roads together, over the years and many of those will be sorely missed.
Our most pleasant times together were those spent planning for and attending family get-togethers. Your thoughtful touch always made whatever the event was, extra special and I will miss that. Vicki, Kaye Cee and Grace, along with all the grand kids, were the most important things in your life. and your were always thinking of some way to show your love to them...and I know they...

Our family would like to thank you for your warm thoughts, cards, prayers and kind words during this difficult time.

We weren't prepared for this, although I'm not sure that anyone ever could be. Our loss is great, but there is a lot of him in each of his children and grandchildren. If you haven't already, we encourage you to view our tribute to him and to sign his guest book. He expected to come home from the hospital and didn't leave us any contact information to follow up on. It’s...
