i first met phil in 1990 when my family moved to columbia.he was the first person to befriend my family.my brother billy who died in 93 looked up to him as a role model and my brother garry listened to his word of wisdom when it came to football. phil was and still is a wonderful person and a great friend.i will cherrish the times we spent together and to his family god bless you all..phil i love you very much.... katie

I LIVED RIGHT ON THE SIDE OF WILKE LAKE FOOTBALL FIELD WHICH I WOULD GO TO A FEW YEARS AFTER PHIL GRADUATED..MY BROTHER BILLY WHOM HAD CANCER USE TO TELL ME TO WATCH THIS GUY HE'S GREAT.. WE BECAME GOOD FRIENDS IN FACT MY BROTHER W/ CANCER WAS THE ONLY ONE HE WOULD LET CALL HOMER(MIDDLE NAME) WE WATCHED PHIL AND THE WILDLAKE FOOTBALL TEAM WIN 3 STATE CHAMP GAMES EVEN THOUGH WE HAD NOT SEEN PHIL FOR A FEW YEARS WE ALWAYS THOUGHT OF HIM WE WILL MISS HIM AND TO HIS GIRLFRIEND HE WAS A GREAT...

I would like to give my condolences to Phil's family, may you be at peace and may God bless you. I only worked with Phil for a short time, He showed me pictures of his newborn daughter, and the older daughter, he loved them dearly. I will miss that smile he always showed, he was a kind, good-hearted person.

My condolences as well to Phil's family especially. He was my CBA coach for an entire season and I really enjoyed the time we spent together.

I'd like to give my condolences to the family and loved one's of Phil White and express my gratitude for having the opportunity to know this good fellow. Phil and I met during tryout for a travel basketball team in Columbia during middle school, and we became good friends and fierce competitors in high school athletics. Eventhough he was a Wilde Laker, I always admired and appreciated his accomplishments and leadership on the gridiron. I also enjoyed the pre and postgame trash talking...

I met my friend Phil White on the first day of 4th grade at Bryant Woods Elementary. We became goodfriends and were classmates for every year of school through our graduation in 1992. Phil and I shared a lot things through the years. We won state championships, laughed at lunch, and lived life. But Phil did something for me that I can never explain, and will not ever be able to truly express my deepest gratitudes.

He had such a smile that brighten up the room...a laid back personality. He spoke of his daughters that day...he even shared some pictures with me. I could tell that he loved them much.
