Wood, 67, U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, Past Commander of American Legion Post 854 and the 8th District, Alumnus of St. Xavier University, beloved husband of Karen (nee Barry); loving father of Robert (Valerie), BethAnn (Scott) Smolinski, Megan, Keith, Brendan, Scott, Bridget, Brian, Martin, Moira and the late Sean; dear brother of Dennis (Angie), David, and Cheryl (Tom) Barker; proud Papa of Seamus, Samantha, Damien, Austin, Sarah, Shane, Sam, Shannen, Isaac, and Camoryn; son-in-law of Michael and Loretta Barry; fond brother-in-law, uncle and cherished friend of many. Visitation Monday, 3 to 9 p.m. Service Tuesday, 9:15 a.m. from Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home, 10727 S. To the Wood Family: On behalf of the Adrian High School Class of 1962, we send our deepest condolences in the passing of Phillip. He was a great friend and classmate and we will miss him.

Had the pleasure of serving with Phil when he was 8th District Commander. Phil ALWAYS kept the veterans first and he will be missed. I know he is probably helping up in heaven as well.....Joanie Lewis Past 8th District
