In my twenties, I was priviledged to work for Phil (as bank President) in the Printing/Purchasing Department of Community First Bank. My mother was his secretary at CFB and followed him as his clerical sidekick in many of his business endeavors that followed. They continued their friendship corresponding via email about issues from politics, the bible, and medical discoveries, while sharing so many fun memories and stories about their spouses, children, and grandchildren. Smiley (Katie) and I will miss Gampy so much. He always greeted us with a big smile and huge bear hug. He was a gifted man who shared with others what God gave him. He was always so willing to help anyone who needed guidance. He encouraged others to put their trust in Jesus, His Savior, with Whom Phil is now with throughout eternity. We will see him when it is our time to be in the presence of the Lord. Peace, Grace and Love to his dear family.
