I was sad to read in al.com of Phoebe's death. I enjoyed seeing her over the years at the Museum of Art, but lost touch with her when my husband and I moved to North Carolina. Her poise and beauty always impressed me, and I had equally fond memories of your parents. Your mother's "forgotten cookies (baby meringues)" still come to mind at Christmas time.
