Not sure what to say?

When I was only four years old I rode a Greyhound bus from Atwater to Barstow to stay with my mothers wonderful friend Phyllis. While I was there, a hail storm broke windows in Phyllis and Cliff´s home. When my parents arrived to pick me up, there were blankets in the windows. I was just thinking about children spending time with grandparents and, somehow, my trip to Barstow came to mind. Condolences to your family on the loss of my mothers great friend. My mom passed in 2014.

She was a light in so many of our lives. I hope the blessings, love, confidence, and strength she gave to others, including her students can bring you some peace. She was loved and admired by so many people!!

I will always remember our precious Mrs. Bowser. Without her I would have never graduted High School. In 1971 I was very pregnant The school wanted to send me away, Mrs. Bowser came to my defense kept me in School, helped to change my classes so my 1st period was next to her office so when morning sickness hit all I had to do was go around the corner to well..... She listened to my problems, let me cry, and made sure I knew everything would be ok. I did graduate, raised my son alone, and...

In loving memory of my Aunt Phyllis. You have my deepest sympathy. My fondest memories of your family are when we lived in Barstow for a short time and celebrating Christmas at Nana's. May God grant you peace during this difficult time. Love, Joyce

Thank you for the kind thoughts. This Sunday, the 11:30 Mass at St. Joseph Catholic church in Barstow will be celebrated in memory of my mom. Hope to see some of you there.

Blessings to all of Mrs. Bowser's family. She taught her students to behave like young ladies and had high expectations for all of us to reach. She was an inspiration to many. M&M Bilsborough

Such a wonderful lady. She was so understanding when it was necessary to visit the nurses office through my high school years.

Holly, my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I remember your mom so well and I can tell you from experience that God will see you through difficult time. My prayers are with you. Venita Gaston-Hawkins
