Read MoreI first met Phyllis when, as a a freshman at Kalamazoo College, I babysat for the children. In 1969 I became a member of Chapter CN, PEO and got to know her better. She was an amazing woman - intelligent, strong and kind. I am so saddened that she is no longer of this world, and send my condolences and kindest thoughts to her family.

On behalf of the members of the Kalamazoo Astronomical Society, we offer our sincerest condolences to Phyllis' family and friends. Both she and Allen were loyal-supporters of our group since the early 1950s. They were the recipients of the first lifetime membership in December 2006. The included picture was taken during our Astronomy Day event in 2009.
