Not sure what to say?

Phyllis remains the only adult I ever aspired to be like. I knew her from when I was 3-years-old. We were nextdoor neighbors. I always knew that she was magic. And I loved her so much. Her lemon bars and her strawberry dishes, the way she wrote letters to poets and authors she liked (and they wrote her back!) We baked and drank tea. Her aesthetic became my aesthetic. I miss her. She was a lovely person, she made you feel important and interesting although she was so much more so

Phyllis is my hero - always following her passions. Always so upbeat & filled with energy. I will miss my friend very much. Liz LeClair

Phyllis is my hero.... always following her passion. Artistic, cheerful, adorable... I will miss my friend very much.

My deepest condolences to Phyllis's family and to all of us. I have such warm memories of her beginning when she was a student in my graduate class at Rutgers so long ago. Her talents as well as her temperament, her humor and optimism, as well as her helpful kindness and caring nature, were apparent to all. (I have a recent letter from her on my desk which I been intending to reply to…but sadly could't find envelope her address.)

Thanks to all for your kind thoughts about my mother. She was full of energy and life, never followed the rules, always saw the beauty.

My condolences and prayers go out to the family and friends. I hope that the shared moments and laughter bring you peace during this difficult time. I pray that you can draw consolation and hope from the God of all comfort (2 Cor. 1:3)

I knew her briefly but she was a wonderful human being. My condolences.
