Not sure what to say?

Howie, Stacy, Marc, Ann and family,

I understand the funeral was more like a celebration with beautiful, bright colors just like Phyllis!!!

I was making chili the other day and added garlic to it. The garlic reminded me of a funny story my dad had told me about Phyllis. Dad said that phyllis had brought a whole strand of garlic to the bahamas one visit to the boat. My dad thought, "what am i going to do with all this, you should have brought M&Ms." Phyllis had done...

Dear Howard, I am sorry about your loss, I did not know Phiyllis very well but the times I saw her, at the UsAirways Club or at a SU football game she was always so vibrant and personable, I will always remember her big smile and great attitude. I will keep you both in my prayers. I just wanted you to know that I was thinking of you. Love, Marcia Ehlers (Smorol's and UsAirways Club).

Dear Howie & Family - so deeply sorry to hear of your wife's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear members of Phyllis's family,
I got to know Phyllis when we were both "students" in a writing class at Oasis. Our common Italian-American heritage forged an immediate bond. Before her diagnosis we met over coffee at Wegman's to talk about how we might get to see more of each other and share our stories. This did not come to pass and I will always regret how life plays its tricks on us.
Nevertheless, I will treasure the brief moments we did share. Please know that I am...

Mr. Chase & Family,
I will always cherish my Friendship with Mrs. Chase. She touched my Heart as she did so many other people.
Tuesday at the luncheon, after the Services, I met Family & Friends that Celebrated her Life, knowing that they will never forget her.
She wrote in a book she gave me in 2004, "One of God's Good People.
I'm so glad to know you."
Well, I am so Glad to have known
her. I will miss her dearly. I
know she'll be with us in ours...

I was truly saddened to learn that Phyllis passed away. Although it's been many years since we lived across the street, her keen intelligence, generosity, tenacity, and vivacious spirit enriched our lives beyond measure. What a very special woman!

Our deepest and most sincere sympathy for your tremendous loss.

Susie, Rick, and Jill

Howard,
I was saddened to hear of Phyllis passing. My heart goes out to you and your family. Phyllis loved life and yet bore her illness and suffering with incomparable grace. In death as in life, she is an inspiration to all who knew her.
God Bless You

Dear Howard and Family,

I am deeply saddened to learn of Phyllis’ passing. I am one of those fortunate “young women” who had the honor and pleasure of working with Phyllis in the Office of Alumni Relations at SU. I will never forget her warmth, passion, professionalism, willingness to listen or lend a helping hand, her joyful boisterous laugh or her perfume! She was a lovely human being and I am so very proud to say I worked with and learned from her.

I hope all...

To the entire Chase family,
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you as I know how deeply this loss must hurt. Although I am filled with sorrow at not being able to be there to pay my respects and say my good-byes, I will be celebrating her life today, tomorrow, and always. She was an exquisite woman!
Love you,
Kim
