Not sure what to say?

Belated condolences on Phyllis' passing. I am Budge and Jean Bullock's daughter. When I was growing up in Portage, we used to visit Art and Phyllis regularly. I rarely get to Kalamazoo anymore since my mother passed away, but I remember those times well.

To the Christensen kids, I am sorry for the loss of your mother. While I didn't know her, she sounds like a lovely lady. I did know your father, however, as he was my student teaching coordinator at WMU 30 years ago. Once a week, all the student teachers from the area (Gull Lake, Delton, Plainwell, etc) would meet with Art for an afternoon, where we shared stories of our experiences and received feedback from him. He was a great mentor and is remembered very fondly.

Dearest Holly

I have missed my communications with your mom the last 3 years. I figured she was not doing so well. I am glad I made a point of stopping in to visit when I was in Kalamazoo. She always remembered the good times and shared in laughter and love.

I think I was student teaching when I had you in PE class at Oakwood Jr. High!! I ended up teaching there after a two year stint at South Jr. High. You played tennis and your smile is an image of your mother’s....

Holly and family,
I always loved playing golf with Phyllis and I will never forget that wonderful smile, she was a beautiful lady. May you find comfort in knowing that she's enjoying a round of golf with Art in heaven.
