I took organ lessons in the 70´s from Phyllis when she and her family lived in Xenia, Ohio. I loved connecting with Phyllis on Facebook after she moved to Texas. I´m so sorry I had no idea she had passed away. I will cherish the memories that I have of the Palmer´s.

Phyllis was one of the most optimistic and joyful people I´ve ever known! I was junior in high school when I began babysitting for the children while she was giving piano lessons. Fortunately, her home design permitted her to have a piano studio in one end of the house, while the kids and I played, read books, and had fun in the other end! I remember when Marianne was born, she bounced right back to resume her piano lessons! Her trust in me to care for Marianne, as well, was a wonderful...

Phyllis was my piano teacher. She was a wonderful teacher. I have fond memories of playing duets with her at church as a teenager. It was only later in life that I realized just how talented she was. I remember being at her house for a piano lesson when MTV debuted on cable TV. Her son Daniel was a great church friend. Made church as a teenager tolerable.
