I was deeply saddened at the news of Phyllis' death. As her principal at Wirt High School, I found Phyllis to be full of joy and love for her teachers and peers. I pray that the family is comforted by their memories and love for such a great person.

This hit me sooo hard. Phyllis was a former student of mine. Not only was she a former student, but also a dear friend. Phyllis was also there for me last year when I ran for the Merrillville School Board. She worked the polls and attended the victory party. The family is very dear to me. Phyllis is now a beautiful rose in the mist of all God's beautiful flowers. Much love
