Gerry, Stephanie and Jeff,

I had lost touch with Phyllis, and hadn't heard from her in awhile, but I thought she was just busy; I didn't know she was ill, and only found out recently about her death. Phyllis and I, and sometimes with our families, hung around together for several years when I lived in Tucson, and I always loved and admired her as a good friend. Gerry, you and Phyllis always were the ideal couple, working together for the common goal of having a wonderful family....

Gerry;I was honored to know Phyliss but briefly,I was witness to her ever-hopefull spirit and to the great love of her family. My heartfelt condolances go out to you.

My condolences to the family on Phyllis' passing. I served with her on the ALA Region 6 Management Team for several years. She was a wonderful, delightful person and a joy to work with. I saw her again at an ALA regional conferenece a couple of years ago and found her to be the same caring and terrific person. She was one of those rare individuals that made everyone around her feel good. I will miss her.

Gerry - So very sad to hear of Phyllis' passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all the family. You all were so great to us when we lived in Tucson, and my memories that of Phyliss that go back to Wiesbaden, Germany. Again so sorry. Jeff Perkins, Phoenix

Dear Gerry,

On behalf of the Association of Legal Administrators, I want to convey how very sad we are to learn of Phyllis' death. She was a great representative for our Association and an all-around wonderful person. On a personal level, I enjoyed her positive outlook on life, her kindness and the many laughs that were shared. She will be missed by so many of us.

Deepest condolences to you and your family.
