Phyllis Winifred Hoopes, 87, of Uniontown, formerly of Malvern, died June 29, 2005 at St. Lukes Lutheran Community in Akron. Born in Alliance, Ohio on August 17, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Albert Wilson and Hazel (Thompson) Yeagley. She was a retired Administrative Assistant at the Franklin Ice Cream Co. in Bedford, a member of the Esther Chapter Eastern Star, Malvern Historical Society, AARP, and the Malvern First Christian Church.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Darrell and Kathryn Hoopes of Malvern, David and Debra Hoopes of Hartville, grandchildren Elizabeth Hoopes of Columbus, Daniel & April Hoopes of Carrollton, Matthew Hoopes of Malvern, David Hoopes of Toledo, Joshua Hoopes of Hartville and great- grandchildren MacKayla, Matthew and Robert. She is preceded in death by her husband Darrell Hoopes in 1997.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 5, 2005 in the Bartley Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Black officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. I'm so sorry for your loss. Phyllis was a sweet lady and It was my pleasure to transport her to and from physical therapy when she was at North Canton, St. Luke Home. She had a lovely personality. Again my deepest sympathy to all of you.
