I first met Mrs. King over 35 years ago when I as a brand new, very young caseworker who had just started working for CPS and she taught me so much. For the next several years we worked together with numerous families. I admired her no nonsense approach to getting things done always in the best interest of the child. It was clear she loved the children and wanted to do everything in her power for them. She was a strong advocate for the children of SVCS. I respected her and greatly...

Christine, We were saddened to hear about Phyllis's passing. We were grateful to have seen her again in September of 2023, where she, as always, reminisced about past good times with such vivid details. We are sorry to be in Vietnam and unable to attend the funeral.

She was always such a spitfire and as my principal at Stockbridge, I may not have always agreed with her ways, but as an adult I have so much respect for this woman because her teachings are what molded us to become respectful human beings and I will always be grateful to her for that! Working at the hospital and seeing her when my mom was there for a bit, it was really hard to see her the way she was because she looked so fragile I refuse to remember her that way She led an amazing life...

Mrs. King you were one of my favorite teachers and such a sincere woman. You will be missed and may God take care of you as you did your students.

This woman took the time to care and love every child that walked through SVCS. She was a great asset Tire school. She definitely will be missed in this world rest, easy,

Made a lasting impact on her students and was very devoted to her Catholic faith and active in her church.
