Dear Gene/and family, So sorry about Phyllis!! She was one of five "Golden Girls" in the ER which was coined by a younger nurse. Proudly, we lived up to it. She was a kind sweet person who assisted me to survive those first days of mine in the ED. We had many discussions about "kids" and how to survive those growing years. PLEASE know we are sad for your loss.

Although I hadn't seen Phyllis and Gene for quite awhile, I'll always remember her fondly especially her dry sense of humor. When she and Gene were married at Ramona's Marriage Place I recall what a pretty bride she was and later on what a good mother. I know all her family will miss her terribly and I'm sorry to think she's only with them in wonderful memories.

So many memories... so many things I will never forget. Her smile, laugh, the way she entertained, and made me feel like family... we could always count on tetanus boosters in the frig at Estero - so we would never admit to a wound! She flew up with my mom to my nursing graduation - I was so honored... I always knew I could depend on her. I will miss her so much... I have fond childhood memories of trips to the beach and school field trips, with Mrs Marshall. Visits to the doctor weren't so scary, because Bruce's mom was the nurse.
