Dear Lee and Michael,

We just learned today of your mother’s passing. We are shocked and saddened. We live across the street at 7016. Periodically, when we walked our dogs, we would run into your mother as she got her newspaper. We would always have a nice chat. We always looked forward to visiting her garden in the annual garden tour. She was a very nice lady and will be missed. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your families.

Dear Lee, Stephen, and Michael,

It was just last summer (2006) that my Mom, Dad, and I drove to College Park to take your mom to dinner. We first walked around her garden and had some wine in her den and then drove to their favorite Mexican restaurant in Riverdale. Later we celebrated her birthday in Annapolis at a sushi restaurant. I didn't think this was the last time I would ever see her. My parents, brothers, and I have known your mom for about 35 years, and we will miss her...

The members of the Paint Branch Garden Club were shocked and very sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept our deepest sympathies. We shall all certainly miss Phyllis.

Phyllis was always such fun to be around.......always a lovely smile. I'll miss seeing her. My prayers go out to her family.
