I first met Phyllis when I came to Portage as a young teacher in 1976 and she was the home ec teacher. She was a sweet lady who always smiled! Condolences to her family.

I have many fond memories of Phyllis' get-to-gathers with our family to celebrate birthdays and holidays. Roger & I took two great vacations with their family. One was to the Calgary Stampede, and the Canadian Parks, Banf & Jasper. The other was to Washington D.C. and historic Williamsburg. We also enjoyed her campfire meals and learned to make pudgy pies for dessert. I'm so glad for her faith in the Lord and how she shared it by teaching children. Love, Ida (her sister-in-law)
