We lived next door to each other at Bryan Hall and also the house at OU. I have wonderful memories of my relationship with Phyllis at Ohio University.

Ptak Family, I was so sorry to her of Phyllis's passing. She was one of the kindest people I have ever known. She never had a bad word to say and was always interested in how everyone else was doing. I know she loved her family more than anything and I'm sure she drew comfort and strength from all of you in the end. Take care of one another.

I am heartbroken to hear of Phyllis’ passing.
It was a privilege to have known such a dear sweet loving soul.
As the Ptaks next door neighbor, and childhood best friend of Ava,
I grew up feeling as if “Mrs. Ptak,” was my second mother.
My heart aches for you all.
