Phyllis Elaine Jackson Sillemon, 73, devoted mother and grandmother, entered rest Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 5415 Matlock Road, Arlington. Interment: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at historic Baker Funeral Home. Phyllis Sillemon was born June 22, 1941, to Jesse W. Jackson Sr. and Kathryn Jackson Moore. She graduated from I.M. Terrell High School and Tennessee State University. Phyllis was a General Motors employee many years and an active member of the Senior Ministry at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Special thanks to the intensive care unit at Medical Center of Arlington. Her parents and brother, Dr. Jesse Jackson Jr., preceded her in death. Survivors: Daughter, Stacy Roberson (Curtis); grandchildren, Bryce, Cole and Cori; siblings, Ella Maye Colley, Mance Jackson, the Rev. M.W. Jackson (Linda) and Vicki Weldon; and nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

My condolences Stacy to you and your family. So sorry for your loss. I met Ms Sillemon many years ago and thought she was a very straight up and kind person.Funny also..You were the love of her life..I thought how fortunate you were. I know how nuch you loved her also. I even got to speak to her over the phone several years back trying to locate you. Still she was so nice and kind and gave me an update. RIP Ms Sillemon..say hello to my beautiful sweet boy Sarid ..u will love him! Debbie...
