Karen and I were great friends in high school and we had a great time together. Her mom and dad were so great to me, I felt they were my second family. I miss you all very much

Phyllis was a lovely neighbor. I went to grade school and high school with her daughter Karen. They were wonderful parents and lots of fun.

My wife Judy and I met Phyllis when we were co-managers at Parkrose Chateau retirement facility during 2007 and 2008. As Judy mentioned in her entry, Phyllis was such a positive individual in all her endeavors.
Phyllis purposely chose the "glass half-full" perspective to deal with life's ups and downs. In our positions at Parkrose, we often experienced the "half-empty" perspective in play with other residents. Phyllis has
inspired both Judy and me to keep "the half-full"...

I met Phyllis at Parkrose Chateau where she took mosaics classes from me. Phyllis was a wonderful friend and an inspiration for me. With her amazing optimism, she demonstrated how to make the most of her life often saying, "I 'm going to do as much as I can for as long as I can." She truly did that and I admired her so much for it. She was also a gifted artist. I will miss her greatly. My condolences to her family. Sincerely, Judy Tidrick
