Rob, Mary Ruth and Patty,
We were so sorry to hear that Phyllis had died this past weekend. Steve and I both were so fond of her . I spent quite a few hours laughing and talking with her during my time at VT . She was such a gracious, warm and witty lady . You will be in our thoughts and prayers as you mourn the loss of your mother.

But I think the "girls" did a lot of laughing together and that is what I remember. I know my mom will write later when she is out of the hospital. We talked about Phyllis last night before bed and the nice visit she and Faye had with her last summer. They were lucky...

Phyllis Tate was a dear friend as well as my sister-in-law. She kept the faith and did all God required her to do. A wonderful example to all of us.

To the family,
I worked with Phyllis years ago in the Athletic Department and enjoyed seeing her over the years. She was a truly beautiful woman inside and out and one of the kindest people I have ever known. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Ann and Bruce Bragg
