Dear Jim and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Phyllis was one of the first new friends I met when we returned to Dothan in 2007. Her energy, humor and big smile made whatever we worked on together a fun experience. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

Mrs. Walch was a wonderful teacher and great inspiration to all the students at CHS. I also met her many times and had the opportunity to serve with her in our public lives as well. She was a wonderful person and gave endlessly of herself and her time. My prayers are with you her family during this time.

My sympathies to the family. Mrs. Walch was my Girl Scout leader for years (back in the 70s). I never knew of all her accomplishments until now. She was a very humble woman and she was always smiling. She was a terrific mentor to me and a blessing to all the lives she touched.
