Phyllis M. Welch

I was a Home Ec. student of Mrs. Welch's at Hopkins from 72-78. She taught me so much about cooking and sewing and I continued sewing many things after she taught me. She was amazing at how she could be teaching students to cook and walk over and check in on the sewers. She also knew how to fix machines that weren't working properly. I really liked her a lot and I know she contributed to much of my later thinking as a mother and wife. I made my fiancee shirts and baked him cookies and fudge...

My heart goes out to Mrs Welch’s family. She was one of my favorite teachers at Hopkins Academy. I learned to bake, sew, iron and laundry. She taught me a great deal that I bring to my own home every day. RIP Mrs Welch you were loved

We had the pleasure of meeting Phyllis at Daybrook where my mom is residing. She was always so friendly and kind. My mom will miss her as they became good friends. RIP Phyllis.
