Phyllis Ann Whitenack

I had hoped to some day meet Phyllis Whitenack, America's first Junior Miss, and the only one from West Virginia. I got my wish and more: she called looking for "WV Forevers" and that is how I first meet Phyllis. We became close friends. I will miss her greatly and the many long email conversations we shared throughout the years. I admired many things about her. She had a heart for her family. The west coast was not her favorite local, but being close to her daughters mattered more. ...
