Phyllis June Wilson

Phyllis June Wilson, 92, of Lapeer, died Sunday, October 14, 2012. She was born May 28, 1920 in Almont to Robert and Florence (McIntosh) Smith. Phyllis married Dean Wilson on August 16, 1941 in Toledo, OH. She worked as a high school cafeteria manager, retiring in 1973 after twenty years. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Calvary Bible Church since 1996. She was known for reading her Bible and daily prayers. Phyllis enjoyed crocheting but her true dedication was to her family life. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her children: Michael Wilson of Navarre, FL, Roger (Sally) Wilson of Lapeer, Diana (Dan) Perry of Silverwood, grandchildren: Wendy, Annette, Brad, Melody as well as seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Dean Wilson in 2005, granddaughter: Shelley, her parents and sister: Jane Muir. Visitation will be 5-9 Tuesday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service, which is 11:00am Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Calvary Bible Church, officiated by Rev. Arnold Bracy. Burial will be in Stiles Cemetery, Lapeer. In memorials may be made to the Gideons.
