I knew of Mr. Capretz only as a television viewer in America's heartland. I admired the educational and entertainment value of "French in Action" and the enthusiasm and humor he displayed in every episode.
His legacy will be the many thousands of people who owe their knowledge of the French language and culture to him.

Just read in The Times about the passing of your Father. I was just introduced to "French In Action" and have been working with it to become proficient with the beautiful language of French. Your father was obviously a very special man and very charming from the videos I have been viewing. My condolences to you and your family. He touched many people and will continue to make a difference for many. Carol Van Deusen

I would like to send my condolences to the family of Pierre Jean Capretz. I did not know Mr Capretz personally but he seemed like a wonderful person. Losing a loved one in death is never easy but we do have a wonderful hope of seeing them again Act 24:15.
