I´m a couple of years late here. I will miss my friend Pierre. He was someone I spent many hours sitting on benches and having conversations of a depth and spirit I´ve seldom shared with others. Beyond being an artist, philosopher and loving father, Pierre was a generous friend. When he learned that I was starting a new business, Pierre didn´t hesitate to offer his amazing sign making skills to make a sign for me, free of charge. I still have the sign and will always treasure it, as I will...

I had the privilege of knowing Pierre at Glencoe Grade School and Benson Polytechnic H.S. as a school friend. He was a real "thinker" in school, polite, very likeable personality, cautious, and was smart enough not to do "dumb" things or get in trouble. I wish I would have kept in contact and friendship with him after graduating from Benson, because he was the ideal friend in school. My sincere condolences to his family.

Ruth and Sophia, I saw this and I'm so glad I did. I would wonder why I didn't see Pierre walking around the neighborhood anymore. He's been a little part of my Portland life from the beginning, meeting you all playing music downtown and seeing you around PSU. I ran into him recently walking by my office, we caught up a little and I think he told me his mother was a chiropractor. This is a great photo of him. My condolences to you and your family.

I am truly sorry to learn of Pierre's death. We were friends from the age of 14. We shared many teenaged adventures, some craziness, and a good deal of growing up.
I had never known anyone with such gifts. His creativity and his art seemed to just flow through him.
We once shared a 500 mile road trip on Vespa motor scooters. I'm not sure why, or for that matter how we lived through it. Memories of those times have been coming back to me today.
Our lives...
