On Saturday, October 16, 2004. A Memorial Service in honor of PIERRE SALINGER will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 36th St. (between N and O Sts.), NW, Georgetown, Washington, DC.

I first saw Pierre Salinger on February 22, 1964 when he accompanied President Johnson to Palm Springs CA for a meeting with the President of Mexico, Adolfo Lopez Mateos.
Shorty thereafter Mr. Salinger was appointed as a US Senator from California by governor Pat Brown.
I agreed with his politics and was sorry he lost that election to George Murphy that year.
My condolences to his family.
