Not sure what to say?

PJ, my CPE Brother, my heart is heavy to know of your passing. You were an intellectual colossus. You always amazed me with breadth and depth of your knowledge. As I said during our stay in Nashville, "I don´t need the internet, I have PJ !" I love you Brother! You will be greatly missed! God Speed Brother ! God Speed!

I´m sorry Andrew and Ann Marie, PJ was the best physician and friend! I will miss him always, Gary

I was also a member of MUN Med School Class of '78. The first day there I met Pius & he was reading Tristam Shandy & I knew right away he was an exceptional guy. Shandy was too weird for me though! He became good friends with my best friend, Dr. Ann Roberts. Here we all are (me in aviators) in a picture clearly from the 70s. Pius & I reconnected in January 2024 & spent hours late at night texting about tea, dogs, the environment & everything else. He was always brave & optimistic. I miss...

I met P.J. Powers years ago via mutual friends. He seemed a regular down to earth person. He was understated. Sympathies to all his loved ones and associates. Peter A. Cristo, Esq. Albany, N.Y.

PJ was our pediatrician in Halifax Nova Scotia for 4 years. He was such an awesome physician, so meant for his profession! Our deepest sympathy to all his family. You´re in God´s beautiful kingdom now PJ!

PJ was an amazing neonatologist and a very special friend. God sent him to St Peters Hospital in Albany, New York one day to look for some per diem work. My response was: Let's make it full-time. He accepted. What an amazing contribution he made during his time with us. He was one of the best doctors I ever had the pleasure of working with. He could talk on any subject medical or other. Most of all he was a good human being who truly cared. His visits will be greatly missed. Rest in...

To Pius´ Family -so so sorry for your loss -From first day of medical school we knew Pius as everything described in his memoriam -he shared his wealth of information even at our Mixers -and his kindness and sense of humor -many of us had a chance to reminisce all of this with him at our Reunion 51/2 years ago -he will be missed -Sharon Ripley and Derek Forsey

To Pius´ Family, We met Pius the first day of Med school in St. John´s , NL and shared many memories by letters , email and telephone calls over the years. We visited him in Montreal a number of times during his residency before moving on to the US for more training and work. He was a good friend. Carl and Anne Sparrow Corner Brook, NL, Canada

I´m so sorry to hear of PJ´s passing. He was a wonderful friend and person to know since our university days at Dalhousie. My sincere condolences to his family.
