Not sure what to say?

Polly, I am still rememberng you and the lively conversations we had in the 90's. Thank you for your support of my work and the subsequent publication you so masterfully put together sharing my work with the world. Most of all, I miss our warm friendship. May the blessings be.

David- I just learned of Polly's death through the KKG "Key." Polly and I were Kappa members at the same time and the only two journalism majors in the house. I have remembered Polly's vibrant personality and joyful outlook many times over the years. Especially when I think back on those amazing college experiences at Madison.... I'm sure it is those types of memories that are helping you and your son deal with her tragic loss. Please know your family is in my heart and in my thoughts. ...

Dear Dave and Eric,
I am very sorry to hear about the terrible loss of dear Polly. She was such an accomplished person and so very vibrant. I always remember her intense way of tuning in and being in the moment. She had so many gifts and it was apparent how much she loved her family. She will be sorely missed. I will keep her in my prayers and all of the wonderful Ullrich family. Much love to you. Patsy Mertz

David - I would like to extend my condolences to you and Eric on Polly's death. I have thought a lot about words I could use, but there aren't any that you haven't already heard or ones that would make this horrible situation any better. Only time will ease the heartache. Polly had an impact on everyone she met and was remembered by all, her smile, her hair, her friendliness and I only knew very little about her. She was truly a special person. One can never understand why these things...

I met Polly last summer at 'The Hand' conference at Haystack, Deer Isle, Maine and I'm heartbroken the craft world has lost such a fine friend and strong voice.

Deepest sympathies to family & friends,
Jill Snyder Wallace

Dear Dave & the Ullrich Family,

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Polly myself, I personally know few things in life are more difficult and painful that that of losing a spouse. Please try to see beyond the darkness that now seems to envelop everything and know that eventually you will emerge. Although the world will ever be diminished her special spark, your own light -its color flavored by both her love and your loss- will carry a bit of her in its spectrum, helping to...

Dear Dave & Family, Our deepest sympathy and our prayers to you, Eric and the rest of the family. May God grant Polly an eternal rest and let the perpetural light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. AMEN.

Dear Claire and Joel, I am so sorry to hear about your sister's accident. She sounds like an amazing person, which doesn't surprise me, considering I think both of you are amazing. I send my deepest sympathy to both of you and to her husband and son during this great loss. Wish I would have known her. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
