Dr. Prem Menon

I did my Ph. D under Prof Menon's supervision from '94 to '97. Until I started working with him in '94 and since my graduation in '97, I have not run into any other person so nice as him. Like others mentioned, he was such a calm person who could not be bothered even by the biggest disturbance of any kind happening around him. Prem Menon was more than an older brother to me.
I had known Prem since the day he landed in Seattle, when in 1957, Prem, Balraj Sokkappa and I rented an apartment together and became lifelong friends.

Prem was my "biggest big brother" ,being the oldest of my siblings. He became a secondary "father" to his three younger brothers when the war years found us growing up in Kerala in the south-west of India,while our dad was in the jungles of Malaya.
