Prentice Knight III

Dear Linda, Marla, and Rachel, I was so saddened to hear of Prentice´s (PK!) passing. I was a colleague of his at Dartmouth, overlapping for 5 years. Although we were in different fields, he taught me a great deal about being an empathetic and caring teacher. His students loved him, as did I. Dear Linda and family Prentice and I overlapped at Dartmouth for two short years. Within a few months of my arrival, we had become friends, as well as research and teaching collaborators. Simply put, he was instrumental in helping me establish my career as a Professor of Geography at Dartmouth College. Dear Linda, Susan, Cynthia, Chris, and Family, I am truly sorry for and saddened by Prentice´s passing. His life was cut way too short by his tragic accidental drowning. He still had so much to offer the world and his community. Irrespective, Prentice was blessed to have lived a full and accomplished life in the time allotted him.
