Not sure what to say?

Dr. James was an angel here on earth. When I saw his face in this picture I had to hold back tears. He was light in the middle of such a dark and hard phase in my childhood. From the moment I met him...my view of myself as a young girl with Osteogenesis Imperfecta drastically changed. I will never forget him. I am reminded of his talents/gifts in his profession every day when I walk. I was also able to carry our daughters. I loved meeting his daughter, Michelle, too. Your dad was an amazing...

Dr James performed a few surgeries on me in my teenage years with Dr Louie at Shriners in San Francisco Ca. Later in life, he saw my daughter at Shriners in Sacramento Ca. I thought very highly of Dr James, and just now I find that he has passed. My condolences to his family and friends, as well as all of his patients who had the pleasure of having him as their doctor.

My mother, Dottie Barron, worked with Dr. James when Shriner's was still in San Francisco. She spoke highly of him and used to talk about the friendly banter that would often take place in the OR. She had tremendous respect for him and she would be saddened to hear of his passing if she were still alive herself.

Dr Preston James was my very first orthopedic surgeon when shriners was still in San Francisco. He was a deeply dedicated pediatric orthopedic surgeon. I still remember him to this very day. If it wasn't for him I probably won't be walking. let me tell you this he has impacted so many lives though out Shriners hospital for children including mine.

I worked with Dr. James for 15 years at the office on California Street as the Office Manager and always enjoyed his quick dry wit. I was sorry to hear of his passing and my thoughts are with the family.

Reminiscing upon many fond memories of working with Preston at Shriner's Hospital, SF as a resident. He truly was one of a kind--compassionate, funny, and genuinely interested in the residents he taught. My deepest condolences to Michelle and the rest of the family.

My condolences to Beve, Michelle, and his many friends and family. I was provided with the opportunity to work with Dr. James at Shriner's Hospital Northern California. He always returned a smile and kind words of wisdom. He cared about his work and his many patients, and will be missed.

Dr. James no less than saved my life when I had crippling back pain after the birth of our third child. I had scoliosis and a previous back surgery. No one else had much that was positive to offer. But Dr. James had a plan for me. He was honest yet gave me hope. I am now a grandmother many times over and my back serves me relatively well. Dr. James gave me the will and the way to get better. My deepest sympathy to his family. Many people join you in mourning. His memory is a...

I worked with Dr. James at Children's Hospital in San Francisco. He was very professional, polite and had a great sense of humor...one of the best! He will be missed by family and friends.
