LINCOLN - Preston Joseph LaPointe, age 74, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025. Preston was born in Minden, Nebraska, on May 14, 1950, to Preston and Charlotte LaPointe. Preston is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Shirley LaPointe; children, Troy LaPointe, Heather (Steve) Painter; Aunt Gloria; two brothers, Tom LaPointe, Charley LaPointe; grandchildren, Trenton Hunt, Steven Hunt, Melissa Bauer, Preston LaPointe, Zachary LaPointe, Breanna Painter, MacKenzie Painter; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation for Preston will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512. A celebration of life will be 10 a.m., Monday, January 27, 2025, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. For more information go to www.lincolnfh.com.
