He was born in Charlottes-ville on May 24, 1945. He married Susan Bowling Morris in 1965 and together they shared 43 wonderful years of marriage and family life.

Surviving along with his wife, Susan, are three children, Lynn Kachel and her husband, Tom; Julie Bonistalli and her husband, Joe; and Preston Jr. and his wife, Tara.

Preceding him in death was his father, William Earl Morris.

He is survived by his mother Loraine M. Williams and her husband Roy; and his sister, Janice Morris-Horn and her husband, Mike.

He is also remembered and much loved by his five grandchildren, all boys, who call him "Poppy": Lynn and Tom's two sons, Jack (age 9) and Sam (age 7); Julie and Joe's two sons, Joseph (age 4) and Will (age 2); and the recent family namesake, Preston E. Morris III (called Tripp), born this year to Preston Jr. and Tara.

Preston Morris graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1969 and practiced as a certified public accountant for over 30 years. In his later years, he found his true business passion as an entrepreneur, founding, owning and managing multiple business and real estate ventures. Until his death, he was very involved in the management of his various companies, along with his wife and business partner Susan, and the family hopes and plans to make him proud by continuing his business and personal legacy as he would want. He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville.

His family takes this occasion to thank the many friends for all of the caring and loving support received during this emotional period. In addition, the family wishes to share its sincere gratitude to Christopher P. Zazakos Jr., M.D. and his superb team for the inspired and compassionate care given to Preston during the 19 months preceding his death.

The family will receive all who wish to visit them personally at the Teague Funeral Home from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2008.

There will be a graveside service 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2008, at Monticello Memory Gardens for all who wish to attend. No gathering at the family home will follow the graveside service.

TO THE ENTIRE MORRIS FAMILY,
WE ARE DEEPLY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. KNOW NOW THAT HE IS IN A FAR BETTER PLACE. A PLACE WHERE THERE IS NO MORE PAIN AND SUFFERING. ONLY JOY, HAPPINESS AND LOVE. HE WAS A FINE MAN, A GOOD HUSBAND AND FATHER NOT TO MENTION A WONDERFUL GRANDPA.

Susie, Lynn, Julie, & Petey:
We are so very sorry to hear of Preston's passing. Our thoughts and prayers will always be with you. He will be missed by many. If there is anything we can do, please feel free to call us.

The Morris Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Just know that you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I knew Preston and Janet while growing up around Belmont Park but I haven't seen or spoken to them in a long time.

Loraine,Janice and the Morris Family, words can't make you feel better at the time for the loss of your son and brother, and husband, I knew the Morris Family when we were all children, we lived next door and your mother ( Loraine and my mother Shorty) when we could "Love Thy Neighbor" we were all like one big family Lorraine would cook for us when our mom worked and treated us just like her own some things you never forget, I know this is a loss in your lives but you have faith that...

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family and loved one of Mr. Morris. I only knew him thru working at his storage site in Waynesboro, but he impressed me with his caring nature, and the pride
he took with his business.

To Mrs. Morris, Julie, Pete and all the other family member, I pray to God to wrap his loving arms around you during this sad time. It's been a joy to have worked for you, for so many years(that I've lost track) If I can be of any service please call. God bless you!

Aunt Loraine & Janice,
I am sorry that I will not be able to come on family night to see you personally but you are in my thoughts. I haven't seen all of you for a long time but I think many times
of being at your house as a child and enjoying sled riding, shooting pool and eating your good food. They are great memories of times when families got together and truly enjoyed each other. My prayers and heart go out to you and the rest of the family.

Julie, Working with you and your dad when you were taking care of Eric Heiner's business matters was a real pleasure -- and Preston was such a nice man. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all the family. May beautiful memories always keep him alive in your hearts.
