Not sure what to say?

Pete, you are still missed and remembered every day!

Pete was always a great supporter of The Upjohn Co. Aviation Department and a frequent flyer of ours. To my knowledge, he was the only non-company pilot to ever wear the 'Upjohn Wings'. So sorry to just now learn of his passing. God rest his soul.

Uncle Pres was my wonderful godfather. Flying in to Fishers Island in his plane to play golf with my father, many years ago. Then we corresponded in later years. How sad to hear of his death.

Whether it was out and about at the lake, in town, helping him with a gimpy dog, or just bumping into him at Hardings, Pete was always kind and friendly (even a couple of hours after back surgery!!). He had an interesting and long life....and he never took it or the people in it, for granted. Safe travels, dear neighbor!

Always the gentleman... You will be missed by those of us that served in the Air Traffic Controller Tower at the Kalamazoo Airport who had the privilege of working with you Pete. Thanks for the memories... blue skies and tailwinds my friend!

Having met Pete only a few years ago through the Air Zoo Board, I never got to know him well. However, reading through all these lovely notes, I feel like I did get to know him better than I thought. I knew him as a humble gentleman who appreciated people, cared about the education of young people and did what he could do for others. I see those same characteristics written from people who were fortunate to know him for many decades. My sympathy and prayers to Pete's family.

Most recent memories of Pete were at Smoke Tree Ranch well into his late 90's with a walking routine from the main ranch house to his daughter Barbie's home. It is no wonder he was driven to make it to just over a 100 years. Other flashbacks include remembering him at the Otsego Ski Club and of course buzzing overhead in a vintage plane at Gull Lake.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

I Remember Working For Pete at Kal Aero from 1980 - 1984. Pete always seamed to want to know who was working on his Beech Baron. He took interest in what we were doing on his aircraft. Pete even being nusy would always take to to talk. I will cherish my memories. God Bless Pete's Family
