Dr. Preton Sidney Neuwirth

I thought the world of Dr. Neuwirth. He did so much good for everyone in his lifetime. Dentistry as a whole owes Sid for his constant efforts to help raise the profession to a higher level. He strove for ways to help recognize the hard working student that may not been born as "gifted" as others. One of his innovations was the "Neuwirth Award". I'm positive that Sid's implementation of this award has helped quite a few deserving students to continue to strive to raise their standards.

Dr. P. Sidney Newirth was such a respected member of the Operative Dentistry Department for many years when he gave so generously of his time and talent teaching dental students as a gratis faculty. Dr. Neuwirth was a kind, thoughtful friend and always such a gentleman. He will be sadly missed by all of us.
