Printha Barfuss Obituary

Printha Ellen Brenchley Barfuss

1946 ~ 2023

Printha Ellen Brenchley Barfuss passed away on, January 29, 2023, in West Valley City, Utah, at the age of 76. Printha was born on April 18, 1946, to Myron and Evelyn Brenchley in Logan, Utah. She grew up in Wellsville, Utah and graduated from South Cache High School in 1964. She was sealed to her sweetheart, Larry Kent Barfuss in the Logan, Utah Temple on August 4, 1967. Her husband says that she was the easiest person to talk to, and that is one of the many reasons he married her. In 1969, Larry and Printha moved to Salt Lake City (West Valley City) where they raised their family of five children. Printha had a very happy childhood, and she continued to provide that same love and happiness in her own home with her family. As a child her mother described her as a peacemaker; a trait she embodied through her whole life. Anyone who knew her would say she was the kindest, most gentle person. She was warm and welcoming to all and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. She loved singing, doing cross stitch, quilting and building puzzles. But nothing made Printha happier than spending time with her family. One of her favorite activities was playing any number of board or card games with them. Printha held many church callings throughout her life. She served in both the Primary Presidency and Relief Society. She was a faithful visiting teacher and always enjoyed being a part of the ward choir. She served a full-time mission with Larry in the newly formed West Valley Mission, followed by a service mission for 7 years, scanning and digitizing books and periodicals for the church. She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ with all her heart and would demonstrate her love for the Savior through her many acts of service. She is survived by her husband Larry, her children – Tonya Wariner (Clayton), Jodie Beerly (Rick), Ramie Barfuss (Lauren), Todd Barfuss, and Daniel Barfuss, her sister Kathryn Couch and brother Dean Brenchley (Marsha) and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Noon with a viewing held prior from 10-11:45 A.M. All services will be held at the Salt Lake Jordan North 5th Ward (3836 W 4100 S- West Valley City, UT 84120). Interment in the Valley View Memorial Park Cemetery.
