Not sure what to say?

We didn't get a Christmas card from Priscilla last year, so I Googled her name as I prepared this year's list...was so sorry to learn of her passing! She was extremely nice to me, helping immensely with my genealogy research into our shared Ackley family (I am the daughter of Pat Barnes...my grandfather was Fred Ackley). In fact, she provided me with a taped remembrance of her grandmother (my great-grandmother), Helen Maria Roberts Ackley...very cool!

I send my condolences to all who...

Sorry to learn of Pat's passing. She was very kind to me in a time of need, giving me shelter and consul . We have lost a gentle and generous soul.

Pat...you will be missed, and loved as long as memory persists! You were so very generous with your love...for your friends, your students, you church family, and so many others. You said YES to everything...to travel, to learn, to guide and help others, and to serve. Thank you for your kindness to our family; to our daughter. You stood on a glacier, for goodness sake! You loved the UCONN women! And, Sam (you're together!). We hold a special place in our hearts for you...

You were faithful...to God and to Creation; full of grace, love, and kindness. You said YES to everything...to travel, to learn, to guide and help others, and to serve. Thank you for your kindness to our family; to our daughter. We hold a special place in our hearts for you...

To the Family of Pat Howland,

I consider myself truly fortunate to have met Pat.

She was an extraordinary career counselor with a lot of patience!

I used to meet her in her office where she would administer a vast array of career inventory tests designed to help me through a difficult career transition. I doubt that anyone else would have shown the dedication and concern which she so readily offered.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

We extend our deepest sympathies at this time and thank you for entrusting us with the care of your loved one.

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
