Not sure what to say?

I didn't know Mrs. Hurd personally, though I am inspired by her generosity and commitment to doing for others. She touched a great many lives in wonderfully positive ways. My prayers go out to her family.

I will always remember how kind you were to me and how you treated me like one of the family while I Mr Hurd's private duty nurse. I will never forget our talks and laughter. Rest in peace Dear Lady.

Thank you for all that you did for Moravian College. Moravian would look so different without your help. You will be missed.

If it were not for this woman's vision and generosity, my 30 year career in human services might never have happened. A small grant she provided funded my first job at Northeast Ministry. She has supported and followed my work ever since. I will miss her sense of humor, as well as her sense of justice. My heartfelt condolences to all of the family.

Mrs. Hurd, your life will continue to be a blessing for many years to come to all who had met you. Those who had not met you will have the blessing of your good works touching their lives, nonetheless. I will always recall your words to a younger benefactress: "The good we do while we are here is the rent we pay." We are all perpetual beneficiaries of your good works. Your legacies will continue to carry many. Thank you, Mrs. Hurd.

When I was studying at Moravian, I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Hurd. She was an incredible person; ambitious and full of energy. She helped make Moravian the superb college it is today. Thank you Mrs. Hurd for your generosity and involvement; you will not be forgotten.

A great loss to the Lehigh Valley and her family...I served for years with her on the Moravian College board...prior to her Chairmanship, we served as chairman and Vice Chairman of The Students Affair Committee...She was a generous, talented and wonderful lady
