Adobe Creek Funeral Home - Petaluma Obituary

Priscilla Jean “PJ” Swain

PJ was born to Kenneth & Doris Swain and raised in Melrose, MA.  Her surviving brothers are Kenneth (& Annette) Swain and John (& Pat) Swain. PJ leaves 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter that were her pride and joy.  Pamela (& Charles) Cross, Kenneth (& Kathy) Pratt, Jeffrey Pratt and Marni (& Casey) Langdon.  Her grandchildren are Sean (& Kathryn) Cross, Sam Cross, Nicolas Pratt, Lauren Pratt and Brenna Pratt and most recently a beautiful great granddaughter Alana Cross.  PJ was affectionately called “Guppy” by her grandchildren as her first grandson Sean named her.  After moving to the San Francisco North Bay region of California in 1973 from Massachusetts she began her career in banking and investment business.  She retired at the age of 70 from Ketron Financial in Novato for which she was eternally grateful to have been part of their phenomenal team.  PJ owned many homes throughout her life and with her wonderful design flair she made each very beautiful and inviting.  PJ had several dear friends who will miss their long telephone conversations about everything and anything under the sun!  After struggling for several years with the debilitating Parkinson’s Disease she passed at age 81 peacefully in her sleep the night of February 2, 2021.

Not sure what to say?

Such a spectacular woman! I only had the privilege of knowing PJ since about 2007 but she became a very dear and important friend. We had lots of laughs and deep conversations and I will miss her for a very long time. Hope that in heaven she is released from that dreadful disease and she was welcome by those she loved and proceeded her. Happy Trails, PJ

Our thoughts are with the family and friends at this time.
