Goodnight dear colleague. You served Nevada well. I will miss your wise counsel.

The Hugs were our neighbors for 20 or more years in Sparks. Though Procter was 8 years older, I can still see him leaping the hedge between our houses as he set out for high school every day. No wonder he won hurdling championships and set records!

A life well lived. My condolences to all the Hug family.

Proc and I were friends as undergraduates at the University of Nevada in the early 1950's. Those were the great times, and I will always cherish the memories of those youthful years. Through all these years I have always been grateful, just to have known him and to have been his friend. Regretfully, our lives took different directions and I did not have the opportunity for a close relationship in recent years.

I have admired Proc Hug for his intellect, his unassuming but...

Proctor was a wonderful role model and friend to so many Nevadans. As a child in Sparks, Proc was a neighbor and friend to so many of us, and we are blessed to have known him.

What a brilliant and gracious man he was.

Proctor R.Hug, Jr. was without a doubt one of the finest human beings I have ever had the privilege of knowing. I have never heard an unkind word spoken about him. The legal profession and the community of Washoe County have lost a true friend.
