Not sure what to say?

I´m an old friend of Ginger and PK from Cleveland Opera days. Ginger, I´m so sorry for your loss. We have lost touch, but I think of you often, and smile! Steven Bryant

Professor Saha was my teacher at Case Western Reserve University, early-mid seventies. He remains the guiding light in my understanding English as well as a lot of the world around me. "Condolences" is such an overwrought word, but what else do I have to offer? At the end of one of Gerard Manley Hopkins poems, where he describes having finally overcome the beast and recognized him, he says (with a gasp) that it is --my God! --my God. Cluster of 50 Memorial Trees

Dear Ginger and Anita, Laura and I are so sorry to hear of PK's passing. What a generous, well-informed gentleman ! Could you send me your emails so that we can be in touch ? I am at [email protected].

I am so very saddened to learn of PK's passing. My heart goes out to Ginger. PK was a wonderful teacher. He taught "History of the English Language" during my graduate work. He served on my doctoral dissertation committee along with Bob Ornstein & Walter Strauss. I loved his poetry. I feel privileged to have kept in touch with him since my graduate work. He & Ginger sent gorgeous holiday greetings featuring original photos & poems. I have fond memories of social gatherings with PK, Ginger,...

This description of PK and his life has an eloquence and simplicity that would have earned from him one of his trademark slightly suppressed smiles - like the puckish one in the picture that accompanies this obituary. I can confirm that for all his days on this earth PK radiantly welcomed former students into his life. I was fortunate to be one of them - warmed year after year by his radiance and by the radiance of Ginger at his side.

Demise of my dear brother PKS leaves the void that nothing can fill. Pray for his soul to rest in eternal peace.

You have our deepest sympathies, Ginger. P.K. was a wonderful friend and colleague, with a deep interest in his students and his community. We will miss him.
